Availability

MailPower.Net wireless Internet service is currently available in many cities throughout Illinois. If you are located within MailPower.Net coverage area, a pretest must be scheduled to determine actual signal quality and assess antenna installation possibilities at your location. A MailPower.Net pre-test truck will perform a signal test at your location and notify you with the results of your test.

Installation

Standard installation package includes:

  • Travel up to 30 miles round-trip
  • Up to 2 hours on site
  • 12" antenna mounted on a vertical structure, chimney, or roof of a single family dwelling (includes installation of cable up to 100 ft.)
  • System grounding to meet national electrical codes
  • Cable routing through frame structure with a single wall penetration
  • One Wireless Internet Subscriber Unit connected to outdoor antenna
  • Testing of equipment operation
  • Basic demonstration of system operation by MailPower.Net technician

Materials provided at no charge:

  • Up to 100 ft. of LMR-195 cable
  • Coaxial cable connectors
  • Antenna mounting hardware
  • Grounding rod, block and wire
  • Weather sealant for connections and structure penetration
